ACORN underage prostitution scandel

Two young, enterprising undercover investigative journalists posed as a pimp and a prostitute and sought the help of ACORN’s Baltimore office to set up a brothel.

They told ACORN employees that 13 underage girls from El Salvador were waiting offshore and ACORN was only too happy to help them figure out how to launder money, commit tax fraud, and commit who knows how many other crimes.

Officials with the controversial community organizing group ACORN were secretly videotaped offering to assist two individuals posing as a pimp and a prostitute, encouraging them to lie to the Internal Revenue Service and providing guidance on how to claim underage girls from South America as dependents.

The videotape was made public Thursday on BigGovernment.com, a political blog launched by Andrew Breitbart as a companion site to his BigHollywood.breitbart.com blog.

In the videotape, made on July 24, James O’Keefe, a 25-year-old independent filmmaker, posed as a pimp with a 20-year-old woman named “Kenya” who posed as a prostitute while visiting ACORN’s office in Baltimore. The couple told ACORN staffers they wanted to secure housing where the woman could continue to maintain a prostitution business.

[...]

On the videotape, “Kenya” can be seen telling an ACORN staffer that she earns roughly $8,000 a month. The ACORN employee then suggests to “Kenya” that ACORN could submit a tax return for 2008 showing that she made $9,600 for the entire year — instead of $96,000 — and that ACORN would charge “Kenya” $50 instead of the usual $150 fee for preparing her taxes.

ACORN offers tax preparation and benefits application services free of charge during tax season; it charges nominal fees during non-tax season.

The ACORN staffer can also be seen suggesting that the prostitute list her occupation as a freelance “performing artist.”

“It’s not dancing, trust me,” the “pimp” says.

“But dancing is considered an art,” the ACORN staffer replies. “[Exotic dancers] usually go under performing artists, or yeah, they usually go under performing arts, which will be what you are — a performing artist.”

The “pimp” later says that he and “Kenya” plan to bring up to 13 “very young” girls from El Salvador to work as prostitutes. Although an ACORN staffer points out their plans are illegal, she also suggests that the girls can be claimed as dependents.

“What if they are going to be making money because they are performing tricks too?” the pimp says.

“If they making money and they are underage, then you shouldn’t be letting anybody know anyway,” the ACORN staffer says, and laughs. “It’s illegal. So I am not hearing this, I am not hearing this. You talk too much. Don’t give up no information you’re not asked.”

The “pimp” then asks ACORN staffers to “promise” not to discriminate against his sex worker because of “who she is and what she does,” according to the audiotape.

“If we don’t have the information, then how are we going to discriminate?” the ACORN staffer replies. “You see what I am saying?”

If the girls are under age 16, the ACORN staffer says on the tape, then they are not legally allowed to work in the state, regardless of what they do.

“So it’s like they don’t even exist?” “Kenya” asks.

“Exactly,” the ACORN staffer replies. “It’s like they don’t even exist.”

The staffer goes on to suggest that as many as three of the underage girls can be listed as dependents at the home, but a “flag” will be raised if as many as 13 are listed.

“You are gonna use three of them,” the staffer says. “They are gonna be under 16, so you is eligible to get child tax credit and additional child tax credit.”

A second ACORN employee can be heard on the audiotape suggesting that the couple join the organization for an annual cost of $120 prior to attending one of its first-time homebuyer seminars, which are underwritten with taxpayer funds.

Later, when the “pimp” asks what would happen if the organization is somehow connected to the scheme, the ACORN staffer replies, “First of all, it’s not gonna damage us because we not gonna know. And with your girls, you tell them, ‘Be careful.’ Train them to keep their mouth shut.”

“These girls are like 14, how can we trust them?” the pimp asks.

“Just be very, very careful,” the ACORN staffer says. “Whatever you do, always keep your eyes in the back of your head.”

If the country has ever produced a government sanctioned ongoing criminal enterprise it is ACORN.

So what happens when a prostitute and a pimp walk into the ACORN office at 16 W. 25th Street in Baltimore and ask for help in renting a brothel for a dozen or so underage El Salvadoran prostitutes and how to evade legal scrutiny?

In these episodes, filmed by Andrew Breitbart’s biggovernment.com you find out that prostitution is “performing arts” under the tax code, that you can claim child tax credit for the underage prostitutes, and the perfect place to launder illegal income is by donating to political candidates along with a lot of other sure fire tax tips your accountant wouldn’t let you in on.

The videos are long but have to be seen to be believed.

Motorola CLIQ

"Lookie here! Those who thought Motorola was messing around with the revitalization of itself best take notice, as the company's CLIQ -- which was literally just announced moments ago -- has already surfaced on T-Mobile USA's website. At least initially, T-Mob will be the exclusive carrier for the phone in America, and it'll be shipping in both black and white. Sadly, there's no clues yet as to when it'll launch and how much it'll set you back"

The Beatles stereo box set

The Beatles stereo box set.
Two hundred six songs. Thirteen original albums plus two CDs worth of miscellany. Seven years in the making - the complete recorded works of the Beatles.

The long-overdue sonic remodel of the Beatles catalog rolls out today. Albums are available individually or in a handsome $259.98 box set that also includes a DVD collecting the mini documentaries that have been added to each of the individual re-releases. There is also a limited-edition box set of the 10 albums that were given separate mono mixes, a real revelation in some cases.

The recordings have long needed an audio face-lift, and the new remasters bring the old analog tapes into the digital sunshine. Now, details stand out that once blended into the background. Over the years, these records have been embedded so deeply into our consciousness that even minor alterations in the relative sound values can be jarring. Did the rooster crowing in "Good Morning" always sound so intrusive?

From a technical point of view, the engineers behind this latest iteration of the Beatles' sacred texts did exemplary work, carefully transferring as much information as possible from the analog tapes into the digital realm. The result is a clean, clearly defined sound, rich with details and carefully balanced spatial relationships. Like an expertly restored soiled painting, the fresh colors and bold strokes stand out vividly. It just doesn't sound like the old records did.

"The Beatles in Mono," the box of Beatles monaural masters, corrects that to some degree. Beatles producer George Martin, who had no experience with rock 'n' roll records before the Beatles, can be forgiven for isolating vocals on one side of the mix and other atrocities common to early pop stereo presentations, especially considering how hot his mono mixes were of early tracks like "It Won't Be Long" or "Hold Me Tight" from "With the Beatles," or "Tell Me Why" and "Any Time at All" from "A Hard Day's Night." Martin continued the practice of separate mono and stereo mixes of Beatles albums through the 1968 double-record set "The Beatles," and some of the later mono mixes on LPs such as "Rubber Soul" or "Revolver" have some surprising sock and clearly benefited from scrupulous work in the studio.

But an uncomfortable air lingers over the fastidiously redone stereo albums. There is too much space in the arrangements. Slight tonal nuances leap to the foreground, carefully etched in the all too familiar production. Recordings are always more than words and music. The way these sounds were recorded and produced stays fixed in our brains as surely as the melodies and chorus lines. These cryogenically preserved 21st century editions are littered with "aha!" moments, some good, some not so good.

It is wonderful to savor lost lambs of the catalog such as John Lennon's "Hey Bulldog," as it is to re-experience the protean joys of the height of the band's rock 'n' roll period on "Beatles for Sale," before the Beatles discovered they were artists. "Let It Be," the album where the lads labored so mightily trying to put some lightning back in the bottle, was not as ruined by producer Phil Spector as many have suggested. In fact, he probably saved it, even if "Long and Winding Road" is a little over the top. Similarly, "Abbey Road," recorded after but released before "Let It Be," is the group's real benediction - a pastiche of outtakes and partly finished songs, stitched together by sheer force of personality and commanding production - even if the seams are showing somewhat more prominently in this latest version.

Of course, the Lennon-Paul McCartney songs hold up. Their durability is nothing short of miraculous. Compared with their '60s peers - perhaps not as melodically sound as Bacharach and David, as rhythmically assured as Smokey Robinson or Holland-Dozier-Holland, as musically fecund as Goffin-King or slyly ingenious as Leiber-Stoller - McCartney and Lennon nevertheless earned their standing as rock's Gilbert and Sullivan.

The albums remain notoriously uneven. Can't imagine why anyone would ever want to hear George Martin's "Yellow Submarine" instrumental score again. "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band," revealed in all its digital glory here, sounds more and more like a psychedelic curio. The White Album, for all its grandeur, still also contains "Revolution No. 9."

But when generations ahead look back and wonder about pop music in the latter half of the 20th century, as they surely will, this will be the place to start. These are rock music's shining hours.

Hurricane Fred becomes a Category 2 storm

MIAMI — Hurricane Fred has quickly strengthened to a Category 2 storm in the Atlantic and forecasters say it could become a major hurricane later in the day.

Fred's maximum sustained winds have increased to near 105 mph (165 kph) early Wednesday. The National Hurricane Center in Miami says Fred could become a Category 3 storm later Wednesday but is expected to start weakening Thursday.

Fred is centered about 500 miles (805 kilometers) west-southwest of the southernmost Cape Verde Islands and moving west-northwest near 13 mph (20 kph).

Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Linda is drifting slowly far out over the Pacific with maximum sustained winds near 65 mph (100 kph).

The Palm Pixie

We are still waiting for the Palm Pre to be released in the UK, Palm is launching another new smartphone that will run Palms webOS, the Palm Pixie.

Unlike the Pre, the Palm Pixie is a candy bar phone, with a built in keyboard on the front, it will share a lot of the features of the Palm Pre, and features a smaller display, measuring 2.63 inches with a resolution of 320 x 400.

Other features of the Palm Pixie include a 2 megapixel camera, as opposed to the 3 megapixel camera in the Pre, it features an accelerometer and GPS but one thing it doesn’t have is WiFi, this was probably emitted to keep the cost down.

There are no details on the retail price of the Palm Pixie as yet, but it is expected to be cheaper than the Pre which has recently had a price drop from $299 to $249.

The guys over at Gizmodo have managed to get their hands on one of the new Palm Pixie’s, head on over and check out their hands on review, with lots more cool photos.

Alex and Derek King killed their father in 2001

Alex and Derek King killed their father in 2001. Alex (12) and Derek (13) killed Terry King, their 40-year-old father in his Cantonment, Florida house. Alex and Derek King blazed the house to conceal the evidence. At the age of 18, Alex is a free man now.

The horrible incident took place in 2001 and when the news spread people were shocked to learn about the most notorious and tarnished killings in the history of Florida State. The news gained so much attention that it became a National Headlines. Everyone was curious to have a glimpse of the murderer kids aged mere 12 and 13 years, respectively.

The innocent looking angel-faced brothers Alex King and Derek King killed Terry King while sleeping in a living-room-sofa, delivering in the head 10 powerful strokes with the help of a metal baseball bat. And then in order to conceal the evidence and hide the brutal slaying of their dear daddy, the kids set the house ablaze.

When noticed by others, the firefighters were called in who feverishly fought the fires and located the body which was not supposed to be located or found.

The youngest among the ‘killers’ Alex was released on a Wednesday morning on April 9, 2008 who turned 18 by the time he served 6 years imprisonment as his ’share of the pair’ for the crime he committed.

The kids were arrested in November 2005 for their brutal act. Their arrest unveiled another shocking aspect that as a matter of fact, it was Rick Chavis, a neighbor and a sex-offender who convinced and motivated the innocent kids to kill their father. Why? To enjoy his sexual relations with the younger kid!

‘He brainwashed us to believe our father was abusing us emotionally’, said the kids before the authorities. He gained the trust of the kids up to an extent that they acted upon his evil plan and manipulated the wrong man, their own father.

Rick Chavis received 35 years life in prison, being the ‘mastermind’ behind the tragic incident.

Friday Night Lights movie

You don’t have to like sports movies to enjoy “Friday Night Lights”. You don’t even have to be a fan of the game. This film will captivate you regardless of which side you stand on as the viewer. It’s a powerful, enduring masterpiece that sticks with us long after witnessing its glory. This is a sports picture at its very finest. Unlike subjectively similar movies, director Peter Berg gives us a reason to watch his film. He inspires us, using every ounce of his screenplay to win over his audience. It manages to move past common clichés, taking a unique approach to this widely used playbook that is the sports-drama concept. Much like a winning football team that would rather the stadium lights not go down, the audience is disgusted when the theater lights pour in on them come the end credits.

Berg doesn’t just work the characters into the story, he works the story around the characters. There is a reason these people love the game. Whether its problems at home, torn relationships or failing class, when the players step on to the football field…they have a reason to live. Berg lets the audience know this.

The camera work has a lot to do with the effect “Friday Night Lights” has on the audience. It captures every gripping moment, every step the characters make, every powerful line of dialogue and it molds them into the very best sports movie that has ever been made.

“Friday Night Lights” is a true winner. It’s a motion picture touchdown that holds a significant message and allows the audience to feel what every football player feels when they step onto the field. This is an absolute must see!

Drake talking:

This is why I do this shit.

I think they call this, uhm, venting.

Verse 1:

Look
Uhh.

This is me.
Still the same.
They want the hits.
I play the game.
No auto tune, but you can feel the pain.
It all comes spilling out like i hit a vein.
Watt up lil Braw.
Watt up slum Ville.
I hope you know that yall the reason i have fun still.
The fans thinking that we all signed for one meal.
Equal opportunities rapping, that shit is unreal.
That aint how it works.
That aint that how it goes.
And I been getting high to balance out the lows.
And I could use a writer to balance my flows.
But I never share my thoughts,
This is all a nigga knows.
And every time I try, it opens up my eyes.
These verses are a chance to remembered and reprised.
And I would be performing just as long as Im alive.
So every word I utter will be mine.

: Chorus:

Dont believe the lies.
Look me in my eyes.
Please dont be scared of me.
Please dont be scared of me.
I remember you.
This feeling isnt new.
So please dont be scared of me.
Please dont be scared of me.
Oh oh oh oh oh uhh.

Verse 2:

I never cried when Pac died.
But I probably will when Hov does.
And if my tears hold value, then i would drop one for every single thing he showed us.
And Ill be standing in a puddle.
I stay away from niggas that could land me in some trouble.
And ima keep it honest.
Am so tired of being subtle.
Its just me, Forty, O, and nich standing in a huddle.
Staring at the members of my team.
Who get questioned about they profit from this 40 million dollar scheme.
Just know that am in debt for you defending all our dreams.
I hope you tell your family this shit aint what it seems.
But yall the reason for a lot of my devotion.
You know I spend money because spending time is hopeless.
And know I pop bottles cuz i bottle my emotions.
At least I put it all in the open.

: Chorus:

Dont believe the lies.
Look me in my eyes.
Please dont be scared of me.
Please dont be scared of me.
I remember you.
This feeling isnt new.
So please dont be scared of me.
Please dont be scared of me.
oh oh oh oh oh uhh.

Verse 3:
Look.

We ignore villains here.
Premature millionaires.
Welcome to my realest year.

I swear we making a killah here.
I should be on top of the world here just chillen here.

But its funny having fans.
Who find you before anybody ever has the chance, and build you up so you could be the biggest in the game.
And realize when your there, sometimes the shit dont feel the same.
Yeah.
And plus things are just so real at home
People think Ive changed just because my appilla grown
And now security follow me everywhere so im never actually am alone, i just always feel alone.
I think im scared of what the future holds.
I was wishing for some things and now am used to those.
Every girl I meet thinks im fucking groupie hoes.
The honesty of my music has left me too exposed.
All my old friends think i got a new crowd.
And people seem to notice every time I do smile.
I guess that mean they come few and far between.
Even though am living out what you would call the dream.
Yeah.
And my uncle aint even messaging me.
And him missing in my life is kind of messing with me.
I hope this isnt one of those forever things.
Its funny how money can change everything.

: Chorus:
Dont believe the lies.
Look me in my eyes.
Please dont be scared of me.
Please dont be scared of me.
I remember you.
This feeling isnt new.
So please dont be scared of me.
Please dont be scared of me.
oh oh oh oh oh uhh.

Galactic Alignment and the 2012 Polar Shift

Galactic Alignment and the 2012 Polar Shift
The Mayans calender is based on what they call the dark plains but known to us today as a galactic alignment. This is what the dooms day scenario of dec. 21 2012 is based on and began. But it is true that we will pass through this plain around the time according to scientists today. This galactic alignment is a direct path of the milky-ways center black hole and its gravitational pull. Our galaxy passes through this plan from top to bottom or vs\vr. about every 26,000 thousand years in what is called cylical movement. For the last 26,000 years we have been above the galactic plan and are about to move to the lower section. So what effect will this have on earth? well the Mayans claim it will mark the end of this life cycle and the beginning of a new one. Scientists are not sure exactly what will happen but here are some theories of the possible effects.

1. Planetary Polar shift: North becomes south. Not sure the effect this will have on earth.

2.Comets\Asteroids hitting the earth: One of these larger ones hits the earth it is a doomsday. Because of the extra and chaotic gravity going through our solar system it will play with the kuipler belt and send comets and asteroids in abundances into the inner solar system which raises our chances of being hit.

3.Earthquakes/volcanoes eruptions/dramatic weather: same effects they allready have but on a higher level. The extra pull on the planet may cause mother nature to go wild.

4.Sun flares: Possible sun flares on the earth could cause anywhere from a radiation poisining to the earth set to flames. The sun will all so be effected by going through the galactic plain.

These are only the top 4 theories of what might happen but there are many more.

What will happen we will have to what and see but it is best to prepare just in case something does happen.

Battlestar Galactica Movie

Bryan Singer Directing Battlestar Galactica Movie
Bryan Singer has been hired by Universal Pictures to produce and direct a big-screen version of "Battlestar Galactica". The film is not expected to have any connection to the recently ended Syfy series from "Star Trek" alum Ronald D. Moore and will instead be a complete re-imagining. Glen Larson, who created the 1978 original series, is also on board as a producer. This is actually Singer’s second crack at the property. He and Tom De Santo had developed a TV sequel to the original series and were just months away from filming the backdoor pilot before the attacks on America on September 11, 2001 happened. The network grew nervous and the project fell apart. A few years later a new project from David Eick and Ron Moore and the rest is history.

Disturbia

Reminiscent of Alfred Hitchcock’s Rear Window, Disturbia is a horror/suspense thriller film that featured a troubled boy on house arrest whose voyeuristic habits get him more information than he bargained for…

Ah, there is nothing like a movie that caters to the naughty habits (and perhaps desires) within us all. While the voyeur could be seen as a victimless crime in some ways, this movie certainly shows that it’s easy to get more than you expect.

While the story of the bad boy or black sheep trying to convince others of something when crying wolf is overdone, this movie still looks suspenseful enough to check out.

The Bible Code - bestseller info

There has been much said about the best-selling book The Bible Code.
much interest in the idea of hidden messages encrypted in the Bible, but my sense is that most people don’t understand 1) why it is alluring to modern Christians, and 2) why it fails as a faithful hermeneutic of the Bible. Searching for Bible Code in Google yields almost 17 million hits, and searching for “Bible Code debunked” yields only about 51 thousand. That’s a lot of hits, either way, but the fact is that debunking biblical stupidity doesn’t generate nearly as much traffic as reporting it breathlessly.

The idea behind the Bible Code is that… quote Wikipedia:

"The primary method by which purportedly meaningful messages have been extracted is the Equidistant Letter Sequence (ELS). To obtain an ELS from a text, choose a starting point (in principle, any letter) and a skip number, also freely and possibly negative. Then, beginning at the starting point, select letters from the text at equal spacing as given by the skip number. For example, the bold letters in this sentence form an ELS. With a skip of -4, and ignoring the spaces and punctuation, the word SAFEST is spelled out backwards.

Often more than one ELS related to some topic can be displayed simultaneously in an ELS letter array. This is produced by writing out the text in a regular grid, with exactly the same number of letters in each line, then cutting out a rectangle. In the example below, part of the King James Version of Genesis (26:5–10) is shown with 33 letters per line. ELSs for BIBLE and CODE are shown. Normally only a smaller rectangle would be displayed, such as the rectangle drawn in the figure. In that case there would be letters missing between adjacent lines in the picture, but it is essential that the number of missing letters be the same for each pair of adjacent lines."

Does that make any sense to you? No, I didn’t think so. Youd better check out the book ,explains it a million times better than i ever could lol

Section 8 Game details & Review

Section 8 is not a new kind of game at all, but it does look fantastic and play equally as well. luckily, it’s a multiplayer online game, which means you can play with other people in real time and there are two teams, the blue one and red one, which try to finish each otheroff of course.

You can also play Section 8 in a single player mode, called Corde’s Store, which is also pretty interesting, looking a bit like Unreal Tournament III. Though Section 8 has been especially design for multiplayer gameplay, so you shouldn’t buy it just for the single player mode.

The game is a combination between Unreal Tournament and Battlefield, because it features a pretty high-speed action, but you also need tactics. Fortunately, if there aren’t enough players to play with or you want to balance the game a bit, there’s an option of adding both of specific skills.

Like in many other similar games, when you die, you simply respawn and in this case it happens very fast. Though the best part is that you don’t just appear on the battlefield, but land from the sky and have some control on your landing. You can land wherever you want, but you shouldn’t try to do it in the enemy base, because of the anti-air turrets. See below for decent prices on the game for both the xbox 360 and the pc versions.
